To live scientifically

Interestingly, when I start to read books about lies, dramatic events involve lies, office politicis and betrayal occured so close to me.
I should say I'm extremely happy that I resigned before anything happened in my company, and able to stay out of everything.
It is so shocking to see how people trist and turn words to manipulate others.
I suppose the best way to avoid to be deceived is to think scientifically, try to prove a staement wrong before accepting it as the truth.
